Constipation

For Occasional Constipation:

1. Drink half squeezed lemon with 8 -10 oz. water on an empty stomach.  Wait to drink or eat for 20-30 minutes. 

2. Foods to add:                                                                                                                      Beets (cooked, baked, or raw)                                                                                                Prunes ( Soak 6 prunes in hot water for 30 min.) 

3. Magnesium Citrate: 300-500 mg at night (It will be between 2-3 capsules depending upon the product). 

Chronic Constipation:

1. Use all 3 methods mentioned above. 

2. A good daily probiotic.

3. Fermented foods are highly beneficial to the health of the microbiome.                    To name a few: sauerkraut, kefir, kombucha, kimchi, miso, natto, olives, pickles 

4. Best to be evaluated as additional herbs and supplements may be required.
